This is the beginning certification that will get you diving in thousands of locations all over the world.

 

Classroom and Pool time vary as this course is performance based and can be dependant upon how well students prepare during pre class study time.

 

Expect to spend as few as six classroom hours or as many as eight hours, spread out over one or two classroom sessions.

 

E-Learning is a new option that is now available. This classroom course option can be done instead of the classroom instruction time is completely self paced and completed at your convenience.  In-store testing is still required for all students

 

 

Confined Water time in the pool can take as long as two four hour sessions (or less).

 

Typically all of the classes can be completed in a single weekend (not including pre class study and preparation time).

Total cost will depend upon what kind of gear you choose to buy. Expect to spend between $100 -$150 (and up).

 

 

The remaining requirements for full certification require you to use the skills you learned in the classroom and pool in an Open Water environment.

 

 

Sunset Scuba typically travels to The Homestead Crater Resort located in Heber City Utah.

 

You will earn your full PADI Open Water Certification after 4 dives over the two days spent at the Crater.

 

Price includes: Entry fee to the Homestead Crater, Instruction, Certification Fee and Photo to PADI.
